Aqaba – Taba Fast Ferry Line

Trips operate on a regular weekly schedule. Passengers are advised to check the updated schedule at  least 24 hours before travel via the official website. 

The trip duration ranges between 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on sea conditions and operational  circumstances. 

Passengers must arrive at the terminal at least 1 hour prior to departure to ensure all procedures are  completed in time.

All passengers must carry a passport valid for at least 6 months. A visa may also be required depending

on nationality.

Jordanian males must bring their Military Service Book if applicable.

Yes. All passengers must pay a departure tax of 10 Jordanian Dinars. It applies to all age groups and must  be paid in cash (JOD only) at the border post. 

No. Overstay fines cannot be settled at the marina. 

Foreign tourists with overstayed visas must pay their fines on the same day of travel at one of the following locations: 

• In Jordan: Passenger Terminal – Aqaba Google Maps link

  • Sharm El Sheikh International Airport 

Passengers are advised to manage their time accordingly to avoid delays.

Each passenger is allowed one carry-on and one checked bag (up to 30 kg). Extra charges may apply for overweight luggage. 

Commercial goods are not permitted on this line. 

Yes, pets are allowed if kept in a secure, closed carrier. Valid vaccination records and veterinary  documents are required. There are no additional fees. 

Transporting dangerous, flammable, or customs-prohibited materials is strictly forbidden. All suspicious items must be declared during the inspection process. 

Personal photography is permitted. However, filming or photographing customs zones, security  checkpoints, or other passengers without permission is strictly prohibited. 

Yes. Personal cameras such as DSLRs or mirrorless cameras are allowed for private use. • A pre-approval is required for professional cameras with high-power zoom lenses.

• Equipment such as large lenses, stabilizers, or microphones may be subject to extra screening or  temporary hold if approval is not shown. 

• Passengers bringing multiple or professional media devices should notify authorities and carry official production permits if applicable. 

• Drones are strictly prohibited and will be held until departure from the country. 

• Importing photography equipment for commercial or resale purposes is not allowed on the Aqaba–Taba route.

Tickets can be booked via the official website, authorized offices in Jordan and abroad, or official agents.

Yes, as long as the actual traveler’s information is entered correctly and matches their passport. 

No. Tickets are non-transferable and linked to the passenger's passport name. 

To transfer a ticket, you must cancel and issue a new one. 

No. Tickets are valid only for the specific route booked (e.g., Aqaba–Taba or Aqaba–Nuweiba). To change your route, cancel the current ticket and rebook under the new destination as per the policy. 

Not necessarily. Showing the electronic ticket on your mobile device or tablet, along with the original  passport, is sufficient. 

Yes. Children may travel with their parents or legal guardians, provided valid documents (passport/ID)  are presented. 

Jordanian children traveling without a parents or legal guardians must have a notarized travel consent letter issued by the police station.

Yes. Light snacks and a selection of hot and cold beverages are available for purchase during the trip. 

Yes. Facilities and services are provided to ensure the comfort and safety of passengers with disabilities  or special needs. 

Yes. A trained crew is available onboard to handle emergencies. 

The vessel is fully equipped with: 

• Life jackets for all passengers 

• Life rafts in accordance with maritime safety regulations 

• First aid kits for urgent medical situations

Seats are not numbered and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis by the onboard crew. Priority is given to seniors and passengers with special needs. 

Yes. Free public parking is available outside the main gate of Tala Bay. 

Alternatively, guests may park inside Tala Bay Resort (fees may apply and space is subject to availability). Access must be coordinated with the resort’s security staff. 

Yes. A departure fee of 10 JOD applies to all passengers, regardless of age, and must be paid in cash at the border (Jordanian Dinar only).

Yes. Duty-free shops are available at Marina Tala Bay. 

You may shop before boarding or upon arrival, as long as the purchased quantities remain within the personal allowance limits set by customs. 

Yes. Ground transportation is available from both Taba and Aqaba to other cities. It is strongly recommended to arrange your transfer in advance to avoid unnecessary delays.
