What is the Customs Transit Book (Trip Ticket)?
Description

The Customs Transit Book (Trip Ticket) is an international customs document used to cover the temporary entry of road vehicles. It is issued by the World Tourism Organization and the International Automobile Federation through international automobile clubs and agents of this organization. It serves as a temporary customs exemption for the vehicle upon its entry into a country.

In Jordan, the Customs Transit Book (Trip Ticket) is issued by the following entities:

Procedure to obtain a Trip Ticket:

  1. Provide a copy of the passport of the vehicle owner and authorized drivers.
  2. Copy of the driver's license for the vehicle owner and authorized drivers.
  3. Copy of the vehicle license.
  4. Copy of the power of attorney if the vehicle driver holds an authorization from the owner who is not the original owner.

Requirements for obtaining the Customs Transit Book (Trip Ticket):

  1. The Triptyque is issued in the nationality country of the vehicle. For example, Trip Ticketfor Saudi Arabian vehicles are issued in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  2. An Jordanian national sponsor is required who owns real estate or unencumbered land.
  3. Signing a guarantee for the vehicle's return from the Arab Republic of Egypt.
  4. In the absence of a sponsor, a refundable amount of 1,500 JD is paid upon the vehicle's return, and the Trip Ticketis returned to the issuing entity.
  5. The Customs Transit Book (Trip Ticket) must be returned upon the vehicle's return to retrieve the guarantee or the paid amount.

Materials prohibited on marine units
Description

For the safety of passengers and vessels, passengers must not transport hazardous goods and instruments on the marine unit in accordance with the laws for maritime navigation as these hazardous instruments and materials may cause serious disasters.

Materials that are prohibited to transport on marine units are:

  1. Explosives and firearms (such as pistols, rifles, fireworks, flammable and glowing tools, ammunition, gunpowder, ...)
  2. White weapons of all kinds and forms
  3. Toxins, chemicals, pesticides and fertilizers
  4. Banned and prohibited substances by law such as drugs
  5. live animals
  6. Liquids (such as oils, paints, toner, acetone)
  7. Compressed container (such as gas cylinder, sprays, ...)
  8. Flammable gas, whether liquid or a solid (such as lighters, gas heaters, gum, phosphorus) corroded materials (such as operated and empty) batteries
  9. Large quantities of perfume
  10. Any substance or object which could cause danger to the passengers or marine unit.

Safety procedures within the marine units
Description
