Travel documents
Description

First: Departures from Aqaba to NUWEIBA

  1. Valid passport for at least six months – except for holders of Egyptian nationality.
  2. Travel ticket issued by the A B Maritime Company, or one of its authorized agents, for the traveler and the vehicle if any.
  3. International transit book (TRIPTIK) for each vehicle – except for the vehicles with Egyptian plates.
  4. Valid visa and security approval for restricted nationalities by the Egyptian embassy.
  5. Travel’s permit from/to the guardian for those under 18 years old from any security center in the residential area if not accompanied by the guardian.
  6. Deferred military service book for those subject to Jordanian military service.
  7. Work permit issued by the Labor Office three days before travel for those with Egyptian nationality.
  8. If the traveler holds multiple nationalities/passports, the traveler departing from Jordan must use the same passport used upon entry to Jordan.
  9. Any documents or special requirements requested during specific periods or circumstances.

Second: Departures from NUWEIBA to Aqaba 

  1. Valid passport for at least six months – except for holders of Egyptian nationality.
  2. Travel ticket issued by the A B Maritime Company, or one of its authorized agents, for the traveler and the vehicle if any.
  3. International transit book for each incoming vehicle.
  4. Valid visa for the restricted nationalities in Jordan.
  5. Required documents for Egyptian nationals: 

a. Expatriate workers: Valid employment contract for the first-time arrivals, or a valid work permit. 

b. Jordanian wives' husbands: Authenticated marriage contract and family book. 

c. Jordanian wives' children: Birth certificate and Jordanian wives' children ID. 

d. Students:

  • School students: Student proof from the school they attend, authenticated by the Ministry of Education and the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • University students: Student proof and recent financial statement from the university they attend, authenticated by the Jordanian embassy in Cairo. 

e. Egyptians residing in Gulf countries: Valid residence permit, exit and re-entry visas.

 f. Categories of general managers, board members and directors, businessmen, doctors, university professors, engineers, etc., require official documents authenticated by the inviting Jordanian entity. 

g. Investors: Category (A) card issued by the Jordanian Ministry of Investment and the commercial register.

  1. Any documents or special requirements requested during specific periods or circumstances.

Ticket Booking Instructions and Travel Conditions
Description
  1. All passengers must be present at the port of departure three hours before the scheduled departure time.
  2. To enter the port of departure, passengers must have a valid travel ticket. Tickets can be booked through the Arab Bridge Company's website, its authorized sales centers, or one of its accredited agents. It is recommended to book tickets in advance to avoid additional fees if booked on the same day of journey.
  3. Travel tickets are personal, non-transferable, and valid only for the specified day and journey. The company is not obligated to transport any passenger who arrives outside the scheduled travel time. Passengers are allowed to travel within a period not exceeding 10 days from the ticket's specified travel date, provided there is a vacant seat on the flight, after paying the applicable additional fees. However, the ticket loses its validity and cannot be refunded after 10 days from the specified travel date.
  4. If a passenger wished to postpone the travel date, it can be done only once and without any fees or penalties, provided that the postponement takes place at least 24 hours before the scheduled travel date.
  5. Ticket cancellation policy
  6. Tickets can be canceled within 24 hours of issuance without penalties.
  7. Tickets can be canceled within a period not exceeding 10 days from the ticket's specified travel date, for a deduction of 25% of the ticket's base value as administrative expenses.
  8. Tickets cannot be canceled after 10 days from the specified travel date, and passengers shall forfeit their right to using them.
  9.  The return segment of round-trip tickets is non-refundable if the outbound segment is used.

 

     6. Additional fees will be charged in the following cases:

  1. Booking a travel ticket on the same day of departure.
  2.  Traveling outside the specified travel date on the ticket (based on operational conditions, seat availability and within 10 days of the specified travel date).

 

  1. Passengers must fully comply with all instructions, rules, and regulations followed at the ports of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
  2. The company reserves the right to cancel or delay any flights due to force majeure, exceptional circumstances, or if any situation threatens the safety of passengers and property. The company, its general agent, or booking office is not liable in any way if any announced flights were canceled due to force majeure or exceptional circumstances such as weather conditions or when there is a danger threatening the safety of passengers and property. If the maritime unit was delayed beyond the announced date of its journey, or prevented from sailing or continued its normal journey, the passenger has the right to either refund the ticket value or use it for another trip.
  3. Passengers are responsible for knowing and paying any additional fees, or any other taxes not included in the ticket price (such as the Jordanian departure tax). For any inquiries on this matter, please contact the relevant authorities.
  4. It is the responsibility of the traveler to be aware of the required travel documents, visa requirements, passport regulations, and necessary vaccines for the countries traveled to or transited through. The traveler must retain the necessary documents and, for any inquiries on this matter, contact the relevant embassy. The company is not responsible if the authorities do not allow the traveler to travel or enter the country for any reason.
  5. Possession of the ticket by the traveler implies implicit acceptance of all written passenger transport conditions, or travel instructions, announced by the Arab Bridge Navigation Company.

Baggage and Personal Effects Instructions
Description
  1. Weight allowed for the accompanying baggage per passenger is (300) kilograms, not exceeding eight pieces (bags or equivalent), with each piece not exceeding the allowed weight limit of (60) kilograms/pc.
  2. No baggage or furniture will be accepted on the company's ships unless it is packed inside sealed bags/suitcases or cartons with dimensions not exceeding 90x90 cm.
  3. In case of exceeding the allowed weight or number of pieces, a fee of fifteen (15) dollars will be charged for each additional piece (bag or equivalent) or for every (10) kilograms overweight.
  4. Prohibited items according to the prohibited materials instructions should not be placed inside the bags, as per the instructions of prohibited materials to be carried on board maritime units.
  5. Traveler must declare to the ship's captain and the customs authorities at the departure and arrival ports any amounts exceeding the legally allowed amount or any gold or valuable possessions in their possession. Otherwise, the traveler alone will bear the responsibility.
  6. In case the traveler violates the company's baggage transport policy, it alone bears the responsibility, including the possibility of being denied travel on the company's fleet units.
  7. It is mandatory to register passenger data on their own luggage.
  8. Carrier's liability limits for lost registered baggage do not exceed the ticket value, provided that the loss of the luggage is reported upon arrival and before leaving the port, based on an originally signed complaint submitted to the carrier's representative inside the port.

Items prohibited on board of maritime units
Description

In line with the safety requisites and travel stipulations the following materials are prohibited onboard: 

 

  1. Explosive materials and firearms such as pistols, rifles, fireworks, flammable and glowing tools, live ammunition, gunpowder, etc.
  2. All types and forms of edged weapons.
  3. Toxic substances, chemicals, pesticides, and fertilizers.
  4. Prohibited and illegal substances, such as drugs.
  5. Medications not authorized for use without a valid prescription.
  6. Unauthorized live animals.
  7. Flammable liquids and solids, such as oils, paints, turpentine, acetone.
  8. Pressurized containers, such as gas cylinders, spray cans, etc.
  9. Flammable, non-flammable, and toxic gases.
  10. Large quantities of perfumes.
  11. Corrosive materials such as acids and liquid cell batteries.
  12. Any materials that may compromise the safety of travelers and the ship, prohibited periodically by relevant authorities.

Public Safety Instructions
Description

Passengers must follow the instructions of the ship's captain and maritime crews working to implement the general safety requirements for passengers and maritime units.

 

  1. Smoking regular and electronic cigarettes on maritime units is strictly prohibited, under penalty of responsibility.
  2. Passengers must stay only in the designated areas and avoid sitting in evacuation areas on maritime units, or in the side aisles of the ship.
  3. Tampering with any ship equipment is strictly prohibited, under penalty of responsibility.
  4. In preserving the safety of the marine environment, throwing any waste into the sea, regardless of its size or type, is strictly prohibited.
  5. Onboard our maritime units, we provide public safety and evacuation equipment, along with a detailed explanation of safety, rescue procedures, and actions during maritime accidents and exceptional conditions.
  6. Everyone must follow the instructions of the ship's captain and maritime crews, pay attention to alarms, guidance, and evacuation locations on the ship.
  7. There is a general practitioner on board our maritime units to provide basic healthcare. If a passenger requires advanced/specialized medical care or special equipment, the ship's captain must be informed so that necessary action can be taken. If a passenger's condition affects its safety, or the safety of other passengers, the captain has the right to take necessary measures, including denying it travel and coordinating with relevant authorities to ensure the appropriate healthcare.
  8. If you suffer from seasickness, it is advisable to take the appropriate medication before traveling.
